What Our AI Characters Do

Our 10 AI characters (Sprocket™, Kiko™, Lyra™, etc.) use artificial intelligence to provide personalized educational experiences:

  • Answer educational questions about math, science, reading, and life skills
  • Provide hints and encouragement during games and challenges
  • Adapt difficulty levels based on student performance
  • Explain concepts in age-appropriate language
  • Track progress to identify areas needing more practice

What Our AI Does NOT Do

We have strict limitations to protect student privacy and safety:

  • NO AI training on student data - Your child's conversations are never used to train our AI models
  • NO data sharing with AI providers - Student data stays within Project Nova™
  • NO advertising profiles - We don't create profiles for marketing purposes
  • NO commercial use - Student data is used only for education
  • NO personal information collection - AI cannot ask for addresses, phone numbers, or other personal details

AI Safety Measures

We implement multiple layers of protection:

Content Filtering

All AI responses are automatically filtered for age-appropriateness, safety, and educational value.

Human Review

Flagged conversations are reviewed by trained moderators to ensure child safety.

Parent Access

Parents can review all AI conversations at any time through the Parent Dashboard.

Educational Focus

AI is programmed to stay on educational topics and redirect off-topic conversations.

Third-Party AI Provider Agreement

We use OpenAI's GPT models with strict data protection:

  • OpenAI is contractually prohibited from using student data to train their models
  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Student identifiers are anonymized before processing
  • Data retention is limited to 30 days for API processing

Your Rights as a Parent

You have complete control over your child's AI interactions:

  • Review all conversations between your child and AI characters
  • Download conversation transcripts for your records
  • Delete conversations at any time
  • Disable AI features and use manual games only
  • Request complete data deletion within 30 days
